A new wave of independent podcasts, YouTube shows, and social media channels is emerging to tell the <i data-path-to-node=\"27\" data-index-in-node=\"276\">real<\/i>\u00a0stories of the border region.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"28\"><strong>Bypassing Traditional Gatekeepers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"29\">Historically, regional news was filtered through heavy political lenses or state broadcaster channels.
